National Aim to Fame Championships

 

Amateur as well as professional performers in Acting, Dancing, Modeling, Singing, Instruments and Variety Acts are eligible for participation. Each category has various styles that you can trial for. 

If you are an artist looking for a platform to launch your career, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for! Reaching the nationals will not only present you the opportunity to go for a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal, but will also make you eligible to be included into the New Zealand National Team. The NZ Team will represent our country for the 6th time at the 16th Annual World Championships of the Performing Arts to be held in LA, USA in July 2012. 

New Zealand Aim to Fame Championships will take place in Auckland 08, 09 & 10 March 2012.  The special awards will be held on Saturday 10th.

2011 Aim to Fame Nationals

The Aim to Fame 2011 Nationals were held in Auckland the weekend of 24-26 March 2011. 
After screening more than 150 prospective performers, the final 40 competed for medals and for a spot in the 2011 New Zealand Team to represent our country at the 15th World Championships of the performing arts to be held in Los Angeles.
The team departed from Auckland on the 10th of July 2011 and returned on Tuesday, 26th July 2011.

Team New Zealand 2011

Team New Zealand, better known as the Black Stars returned with 9 Gold, 30 Silver, 16 Bronze medals and 5 overall awards.  Two contestants also received scholarships from the Mellinium Dance Complex.  Tap Dancer Hayden Withers from Christchurch progressed to the showcase event where he was announced 2011 Senior Grand Champion Dancer of the World.
